Is your process harmful to children, pets, or any occupants of my home or office? And if so, in what ways is it harmful?
      • Birds: Birds are especially sensitive to Teflon,® which is used in our carpet protector. At your discretion, birds should be relocated to a safe area away from the cleaning location (possibly a separate room not being cleaned, the patio, porch, or garage). The indoor environment is safe for birds a few hours following cleaning.
      • Children: While there are no documented or proven health risks related to carpet and furniture cleaning, not every person has the same response to cleaning agents. One person's sensitivity will be different from another. Therefore, we recommend that occupants exercise care to stay off items that have been cleaned for a 24 hour period as much as possible.
      • Carpet and upholstered items RESOIL easily when damp.
      • Upon drying, these items are completely safe for normal use.

Does my door have to be open during cleaning?
      • Yes. However, we place a cover over the opening of the door that blocks most of the opening to retain the indoor/keep out the outdoor air.

Does the cleaning remove the protector previously applied to the carpet?
      • All activities on the carpeting affect the effectiveness of carpet protector. These activities include: daily uses, vacuuming, spot cleaning, and professional cleaning.
      • Application of carpet protector should take place every time the carpet is professionally cleaned to properly maintain the ongoing use, stain resistance, and beauty of your investment.

Should I open the windows and doors to allow fresh air in for drying?
      • No. Normally, in the Florida climate, it is too humid and hot to open the windows and doors and would actually increase the drying time following cleaning. This would also tend to overwork your A/C system when attempting to re-condition the indoor air to a comfortable level.
      • Whether in the summer or winter, the indoor air is preferred to assist in the drying of carpets and upholstery.
      • In some cases, where there may be occupant sensitivity to cleaning agents, we may recommend temporary intrusion of fresh outside air by opening windows and doors. You should inform us when scheduling your appointment of any such known sensitivity.

Will the spots come back after cleaning?
      • While our services are thorough, there is no guarantee that spots will not re-appear over time. Why is this?
      • Depending on how deep the residue is in the pile, the spot may take several cleanings to completely eliminate.
      • Each time the spot is wet through cleaning, remaining residues "wick up" or come to the surface during the drying process. This is actually positive as the residue is now accessible for removal.
      • We recommend that you follow our spot cleaning procedures found in the Emergency Issues section for re-occurring spots.
      • We are available anytime for help should you have difficulties. Please call for assistance.
      • Good news! If the spot was removed once, it usually can be removed again and eventually eliminated through proper care.
      • If spots immediately return within a day or two of the cleaning, please call us. Proper professional cleaning should virtually eliminate reoccurring spots or at least significantly reduce their reappearing.
      • At any time, should you have a question or problem with any service you have received from Premier Cleaning Systems, Inc., please call or email us immediately. Thank you!

      Can you move my furniture?
      • Yes. We recommend that furniture be moved on a periodic basis for thorough vacuuming. Frequency will depend on how dusty your indoor environment tends to be.
      • Areas under and behind furniture should be kept free of dust and soil build-up.
      • These areas must be professionally cleaned when thorough vacuuming can no longer remove visible soiling.
      • Protective blocks and plastic tabs are placed under furniture legs following cleaning.

When can I remove the blocks and plastic tabs and re-place my furniture.
      • Antique and dark stained furniture has a greater chance of staining the carpet when it is damp. When the carpet under these types of items has been cleaned, we recommend waiting several days before moving or re-placing furniture. We try to place items "just out of place" to allow for drying in these areas and expedite the re-placement process. Please exercise care to avoid permanent staining.
      • Normally, your carpets and furniture will be dry within the day. Please allow for additional drying time where restoration cleaning services have been performed.

Do I have to be home while you are cleaning the carpet?
      • No. The choice to stay or leave is at your discretion.
      • We ask for a means of contacting you in the event of an emergency should you decide to be gone during service.
      • It may, in some cases, be more convenient for you to be gone during the cleaning process due to the amount of equipment used, as this may interfere with your normal daily activities while we are with you.
      • While we strive to maintain a safe working environment for the technician and all occupants, it may be difficult to control the activities of younger children if they are home during service.
      • Pets should be secure during the cleaning process to avoid injury or escape. It will be difficult for the technician to keep a constant watch while providing service.
      • We are completely flexible and can work with almost any situation as necessary.
      • We have been serving our clients since 1993. We have a strong reputation of trust and take great care in guarding the security of your home or office while providing service.

What recommendations can you give me if I move or relocate to a different state?
        Moving - local
      • Have traffic areas only cleaned in most cases. The new owners should have all the carpets cleaned after you have vacated the home.
      • Have furniture cleaned before you move only if the movers guarantee to keep it clean during transporting and unpacking.
      • Have rugs cleaned, protected, moth prevention applied (for wool), and properly wrapped before you move. The rugs can be redelivered on or close to the packing day for transportation by the movers. We can also deliver the rugs to your new location.
Moving - out of the local area or out of state
      • Have carpets, upholstery and rugs cleaned as stated for the local move.
      • You may call the IICRC referral line to get the names of certified cleaners in your new area.
