      5. STOP, AND TEST FOR COLOR FASTNESS. Up to this point, you had to deal with an emergency spill or accident. Your fabric may not be colorfast, but you must at least remove the debris and liquid from the spill. Use caution and good judgment here. The following colorfast test is essential before any other attempt of spot cleaning is made!
        • Apply distilled water to a clean white towel and rub on an inconspicuous area of fabric.
        • If ANY color transfers onto the towel, STOP your emergency cleaning effort and call us immediately.
        • If no color transfers, then apply some Avenge™ onto a new spot on a clean white towel, rub on an inconspicuous area of the fabric.
        • If ANY color transfers onto the towel, STOP your emergency cleaning effort and Call us immediately.
        • If NO COLOR AT ALL transfers to your towel, then and only then is it safe to proceed to step 6.
      6. If spot or residue is still visible, use Avenge™ with trigger sprayer, apply small amount to the affected area, lightly massage into area (remember, easy stuff first, don't rush this step) and thoroughly extract. Repeat as necessary until no further progress is made.

      5. STOP, AND TEST FOR COLOR FASTNESS. Up to this point, you had to deal with an emergency spill or accident. Your rug may not be colorfast, but you must at least remove the debris and liquid from the spill. Use caution and good judgment here. The following colorfast test is essential before any other attempt of spot cleaning is made!
        • Apply distilled water to a clean white towel and rub on an inconspicuous area of rug. The back may be a good spot for this. However, if no color transfers, then also test the face yarn (top) in the same way. Don't over rub the face yarn as it will damage the pile.
        • If ANY color transfers onto the towel, STOP your emergency cleaning effort and Call us immediately.
        • If no color transfers, then apply some Avenge™ onto a new spot on a clean white towel, rub on an inconspicuous area of the rug, first on the back, then on the top (face yarn).
        • If ANY color transfers onto the towel, STOP your emergency cleaning effort and Call us immediately.
        • If NO COLOR AT ALL transfers to your towel, then and only then is it safe to proceed to step 6.
      6. Now use Avenge™ with trigger sprayer, apply small amount to the affected area, lightly massage into area (remember, easy stuff first, don't rush this step) and thoroughly extract. Repeat as necessary until no further progress is made. IMPORTANT: the spot may be permanent - do not overclean resulting in damage to the face yarn or color.
      7. Finish by applying distilled water and thoroughly extracting.
      8. Place absorbent towels over affected area, weight down the area with a somewhat heavy flat object that can not be damaged by moisture.
